STL Bloggers Night Out

One of my favorite things about having moved to St. Louis is the amazing network of bloggers that live here. You’ve met several of my fashion blogger friends, but I’ve also met some fantastic food, parenting and craft bloggers as well. These ladies know how to run a successful blog!

Now that I’m back home from a week in Cincinnati, I get to finally update you on my week of fun!

Some of the STL Bloggers group met at the beautiful Ces & Judy’s catering center for dinner, drinks and lots of laughs!

STL Bloggers

I’m obviously on the left but don’t miss these ladies from left to right:

Yokasta at Get U Moving Fitness, Courtney at Journey of a Dreamer, Clare at Fitting It All In, Christina at Homemade Ocean, Katie at Mom’s Little Running Buddy, Jenny at The Jenny Pincher, Ashley at Eat, Run, Live Happy, Karen at Arch City Homes, and Lindsay at Itz Linz

Pour Yourself a Glass

Not going to lie, my first stop when I arrived was the wine station. Check out this super girly and glittery sign! I will definitely have to reuse this idea for a future girl’s night.

Then we enjoyed some delicious food!

Ces & Judy's STL Bloggers

Of course we all took our time taking photos before we ate. We definitely had some self control given how delicious everything looked and tasted!

Ces & Judy's Dessert

Once we ate, it was time for some devine desserts! With so many fitness bloggers at the event, there was more than enough for me! :) This little bar on the left was like a combination of chocolate chip cookie dough and cheesecake. OMG!

Ces & Judy's

We hung out for about three hours joking about the pros and cons of blogging, convincing our partners to go along with us in our shenanigans and even swapped a few blogging tips! It was so much fun!

I even convinced one of the gals to take my photo! :)

Winter Cold

After a quick burst of warmth, we’re feeling the cold of winter again here in St. Louis. Missouri is one of those states where you get all four beautiful seasons, but unfortunately not a lot of snow in the winter – just freezing cold temps day after day.

While I have a lot of coats and jackets, when it gets this cold I tend to wear this same one day after day. It’s made of wool and the length is long enough to keep most of my body covered and toasty. Paired with some gloves and a scarf, I’m ready for even the coldest of temps. I bought this coat three years ago during an after-Christmas sale at Dillard’s, I believe. Coming in at right around $100, this thing probably has a better cost per wear than anything in my closet.

Winter Coat

Bow belt

I’ve been wearing this side bun a lot lately. It’s just as easy as my low bun I’ve been wearing all year but I like how it gives me a tad more interest from the front.

Hidden Gems

See anything unusual in this outfit? No? Well, my skirt is actually a dress! In fact, it’s just pulled down a bit and my top covers the rest. So many people asked me how I found a skirt this long (I’m wearing 5 inch wedges underneath) and when I told them it was a dress I got some ‘What a great idea!”s and some “Oh”s. Oh well! I love the way it turned out and I was so comfortable!

Have you ever worn a dress as a skirt?

Layering up for fall

The weather is officially like 10 degrees from freezing overnight, which means when I get up my house is like a refrigerator (we don’t control our heat so it’s not on yet!). I may have gone overkill with the layers yesterday but the cold weather got to me.

Looking back on this outfit, I’m not crazy about all of the black and I think even just wearing leggings instead of full tights would have broken it up a little more. Another way I might try this is by wearing a blazer instead of the undershirt.

Oh well… ideas for next time!

Dress: Max & Cleo

Necklace: White House | Black Market (what I wore for the rehearsal dinner)

Loving fall weather!

The weather here suddenly went from 95 degrees to 60 degrees so I got to wear a real fall outfit for once today. Even in this I was a bit chilly outside with all of the rain.

This outfit was once again a shot at mixing things up in new ways. Instead of wearing the tie that came with this sweater, I decided to wear the belt that I overspent on bought to go with my rehearsal dinner dress.

Sweater: Bergner’s
