So Serious

Part of my trip to Julia’s house included some fun girly drinks, great apps and a mini photoshoot or two. Julia’s a good photog so I had her snap a few shots of me.

Here are a few other shots we took that night in a different outfit.

Off-the-shoulder top with red pantsI don’t share serious photos very often (mainly because I usually look ridiculously pissed off in serious photos) but I thought these were fun!

STLFW: A GLOWing outfit

My recap of STLFW continues! Follow more posts here

Once we had concluded our amazing tour of the Saks Fifth Avenue at Frontenac, I headed to the Chase Park Plaza Hotel to get some downtime with Jackie and Tracey. They let me get ready for the big fashion show in their hotel and we spent time snapping outfit photos of each other.

After dressing pretty ladylike for our Saks luncheon, I knew I wanted to go a bit edgier for the GLOW Fashion Show that evening. I swapped my flowy red dress for this peplum number.

Austin: Sixth Street Bars

Bill and I just got back from Austin last night and we had an amazing time! I’ll be recapping our trip over the next few days and sharing some of our stops along the way.

This was my first time to Austin. We were visiting for our friends’ wedding on Sunday evening so we had lots of time to explore the city and, in short, I really loved it. What’s not to love about a hip town that has about four Mexican restaurants on every block? That town knows how to eat!

After a bunch of flight issues leaving Cincinnati on Friday, I finally met Bill at the Austin airport Friday night around 9:30. I had just enough time to run to our hotel (Residence Inn Downtown) and change before we headed out to the Sixth Street area downtown for a mixed bachelorette and bachelor party.

We met up with the group at Dogwood’s. The bar had an amazing outdoor patio, making it the perfect place to enjoy the weather. It did get a bit chillier than expected but after coming from weather in the 20s, I was completely ok with lows in the 40s and highs in the 70s and 80s all week.

Do you ever go shopping and then just have to wear something new the next day? No? Just me?

As a young girl, I can remember wanting to wear a new dress every single day because I was so excited about having something new. It may not be that bad anymore, but I still can’t help but wear at least one new thing the day after a big shopping trip.

Bill and I hit up some sales at the Galleria recently and I just couldn’t wait to wear this new skirt. I found it on the Macy’s INC clearance rack for only $12! It’s the perfect thickness for cold winter days when paired with some tights.

Can you see these shoes? I wish I had a better snap of them. They are royal blue suede with patent leather black peeptoes. Check out my Insta-snap for a better photo!

Bakers Necklace

How beautiful is this necklace? I wear so much black in my day-to-day outfits so it’s nice to have something slightly edgy that matches my black outfits but isn’t fully black.

Fashion’s Night Out Live Feed From Macy’s Herald Square

For all of you stylish girls and guys who can’t make it (myself included) to FNO, enjoy this live feed!

Introducing… my family!

Have you met them? They’re really lovely people. And pretty stylish if I do say so myself. Here’s the clan:

From left to right: Brett (Lydia’s husband), Malena (their daughter!!!), Lydia (second sister), Kelli (youngest sister), Dad, Mom, Me, Bill, Laura (oldest sister), William (Laura’s husband)

Quite the group, huh? P.S. I’m obsessed with the dress I bought for this wedding. It’s from Macy’s INC collection. The sandals are Laura’s.
