Transitioning to summer

It’s finally warm nearly every day! Woohoo!

That means I either need to go get some summer clothes or start transitioning my winter clothes into summer. I’ve been doing the latter so far but a shopping trip is planned soon. One issue with summer clothes is that my office can be cold so even in the summer, sweaters are almost always a must.

How do you wear summer clothes in the office?

Sweater: NY & Company

Tank: NY & Company

Jeans: TJ Maxx

Wedges: Colin Stuart

In the dark

For some reason my flash didn’t go off for this photo and I think I was running late and didn’t notice that I needed to retake it.

On this day I was presenting some work I’d been working on to the company so I wanted to show off a little bit of my personality and be a little bit more dressed up than usual.

Top: Forever 21

Skirt: Forever 21

Tights: Target

Heels: Colin Stuart

Charm Bracelet: Express

Finishing school

So I finished! It’s a great feeling being done and while it was stressful to get it all done right before the wedding, I’m excited to walk down the aisle and not have to ever think about it again!

I wanted to look professional for my defense, but also show who I was. The first day was sort of a trial run and the second day was the real deal. Here’s what I wore for each:

The first day we had stayed at my sister’s house the night before so I took the opportunity to get a few shots with some farm scenery!

Tee: Kohl’s

Skirt: Forever 21

Wedges: Colin Stuart

The second day we had stayed in a hotel so I got a shot on campus (same location as my happiness shot below).

Sweater: Bergner’s

Dress: Cynthia Rowley from TJ Maxx

Sandals: WalMart

Pin: Bergner’s

Sunglasses: Kohls
