My recap of STLFW continues! Follow more posts here.
Once we had our fill of goodies at The Cheshire, we hopped on a fabulous bus (Thanks, Best Transportation and Canopi.me!) for a little fun and bubbly as we made our way to Saks Fifth Avenue at the Frontenac Mall.
Once we arrived at Saks, we were in for such a treat! Tania Beasley-Jolly, marketing director for the Frontenac Saks, treated us to a delicious lunch full of amazing fashion talk!
Of course, all of the bloggers wouldn’t sit for the first 10 minutes as we took photos of the ambiance!
Can you believe little ole’ me had a reserved spot at a Saks lunch? Pinching myself!
Over lunch Tania talked to us about our individual blogs, where we find inspiration and about some exciting events she has in the works for our STL Saks. (More to come, STL readers!)
Once our lunch was finished, Tania gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of Saks Fifth Avenue. She talked to us about her vision for Saks in the life of a St. Louisian, styles and trends she’s loving and about how the St. Louis Saks continually amazes the corporate HQ with how well emerging designers do in a non-coastal market. (Woot woot, STL!)
Saks is one of few retailers in the area that carry splurge-worthy designers like Valentino, Gucci and Alexander McQueen.
The Chanel store within the Saks was enough to make this girl want to get out her credit card! Doesn’t this woman working in the Chanel store just epitomize Coco Chanel?
I also couldn’t help but swoon over the gorgeous leather goods in the Gucci store. The Gucci manager even let me hold this bag for about 10 minutes and I was thisclose to ‘accidentally’ walking off with it.
The leather on this bag was so soft it felt like butter! Looks pretty great with my outfit, don’t you think?
Here is the full group of STLFW bloggers at Saks. A huge thank you to Tania and team for hosting us for such a stylish afternoon!
