A Trip Home

One of the best things about moving to St. Louis is how close we are to my family (only two hours drive instead of the seven we used to have!). Since moving in September, we’ve been able to visit my family for Christmas, see my baby sister get engaged and, now, celebrate my niece’s second birthday. The year ahead will bring more babies, a wedding and hopefully some other amazing family moments. I’m excited to be able to celebrate them in person.

Last weekend, we made the quick trip to celebrate my niece’s second birthday. Let’s just say, she’s by far the cutest two year old out there. She repeats everything you say (for better or worse), loves playing Hide and Seek and can’t get enough cuddling (I’ve taught her well!).

This is us on the day we celebrated Christmas.

I, of course, forgot my camera for her birthday. I did manage to snap one day of outfit photos despite the bitter cold. Can you tell how cold I am?

Leopard Boutique Penny Earrings

Check out these amazing penny earrings from Leopard Boutique in Webster Groves. They were only $12 and I’ve received compliments every single time I’ve worn them (which has been almost daily)!

  4. Your niece is a real cutie and so is your outfit. I have a chambray shirt that I love but haven’t quite mastered as far as dressing it up a bit! You’ve inspired me to pull it out and give it another try!

I really like what I’ve seen of your blog and will be following along!

    • I’ve found it’s a great piece to throw on over a dress instead of a jacket on a warmer day, wear under a sweater or wear all buttoned up with a fun necklace! I’d love to see how you find ways to add a little chambray to your life! :)
