How to: Day to night
Sometimes when you leave the house you just know you’re going to be gone for awhile. I hate trying to change clothes between events so I’ve found layering tends to work the best. My wonderful roommate threw me a ‘surprise’ wedding shower at the local wine bar. We tried some amazing wines, ate some delicious appetizers and just had an all-around great time. Following that, I knew I was heading out dancing for a going-away party for one of my best friends. The two don’t exactly call for the same items.
What I decided to do was start with this dress (that I’ve now worn at least 5 times since I got it like a month ago) and add pieces in layers. For the wine tasting I went with a more conservative look with heels. Underneath the scarf, I hid a fun statement necklace. I also stashed a pair of flats in my car, because no one wants to have their feet hurt all night when they’re dancing. Between events I stripped off a few layers and voila! That was it!
